Autumn

Fall is officially here in the Bay Area! After a few weeks of unseasonably warm weather (76* in October) the season has finally changed. Autumn is my personal favorite, although Matt much prefers Summer. Here is a list of my favorite things about this season:

Coats! Peacoats! Capes! I love these vintage coat patterns from The Playful Needle! I just replaced my old, ratty peacoat which I've had since high school. I've kept it so long because I love it so much. It's the perfect cut and length; I haven't been able to find one since. But the other day I was in Therapy in downtown Campbell and found THE most perfect peacoat ever. I just need to hem the sleeves a bit, but I'm so excited to wear it this winter.

Matt and I are huge fans of candles and incense! There is something about them that makes my apartment feel cozier. If I don't pick up incense from my local head shop, I love ordering from Divine Scentsations. Her incense lasts FOREVER, and smell amazing.

Pumpkin EVERYTHING! Pumpkin pie, pumpkin cookies, pumpkin candles, pumpkin bread. Enough said.

Fall colors!

Fall themed dresses! I love this particular 70's style dress from The Loved One's Etsy store.

And this one from EMBER Vintage!

And don't forget Fall accessories! I love these headbands from Sunshine and Carousels. They are absolutely perfect! I just bought one in burgandy!

Who's going to bring back lady ties this season? Uh, ME!! I love these handmade ones!

These are my favorite things about the Fall season, what are yours? :)

Half Moon Bay Pumpkin Festival

On Saturday my friends and I went to the Half Moon Bay Pumpkin Festival. I had a great time looking at the crafts and EATING (duh!!!). We had hot dogs, pumpkin cheesecake, and locally brewed beer. Yum! The fair inspired me to start crafting again. I'd like to get a sewing machine for the holidays and also work on my crocheting.

We also ended up finding this "pop up" vintage store at the festival. Matt got a fantastic 60s style alarm clock and I got TWO new big eye paintings!

Anyways, everyone had a great time, and we're all looking forward to carving pumpkins together in a few weeks.
