In other news, I read a horrible article in the San Francisco Chronicle about a cat that had been killed in the Redwood Shores area of Redwood City. Having grown up in Redwood Shores and being a HUGE animal lover, I am disturbed that someone could be so cruel. Here is an article on the Peninsula Humane Society website about the incident: http://www.peninsulahumanesociety.org/services/crueltyinvestigations.html
Please consider donating to the Cruelty Investigations department of the Peninsula Humane Society (http://www.peninsulahumanesociety.org/donate/index.html). There is currently a $8,400 (!!!!!!) reward for anyone who is willing to give the police information about the incident.
Lastly, did you know that well photographed animals are more likely to be adopted? It's true! If you are a photographer, or have a nicer camera, consider donating your time to shelters and photographing their animals for their website! Many county and independent shelters LOVE to have the extra help, and definitely want an increased chance of their animals getting adopted.
Have a great weekend!
