December Favorites!
Vintage Christmas decorations! This year I added a few items to my collection, see previous entries for more details!
Big hair! Bows! But not cigarettes...blech! Source.
I miss my Siamese kitty! If I ever get another cat, this will be me...
Big hair. As always.
Vixen Vintage. All day. Every day.
Enjoy!
Happy Birthday!
Yesterday was my 25th birthday! Matt got me an AMAZING vintage TV lamp!!! I am absolutely in love with it. My mom got me the coolest new point and shoot camera! Hurray! Because of back problems, I am not able to carry my digital SLR very much...so it is so nice to have a camera that I can take everywhere! Hopefully this will mean more pictures for the blog :)
This week is finals week, so expect more posts in the near future!

Vintage Holidays!
This was one of my first purchases for this year's holiday season. I found it in a small antique store in San Jose (where I also found the Keane painting). Matt and I tried tracking down it's source, but unfortunately its only marking is a "Made in Korea" stamp on the bottom. If anyone has any information, please let us know!
This is the vintage tree topper that I found in Willow Glen! Isn't it beautiful?
My Christmas tree! We just finished decorating it last night. I love the way the lights reflect on the tinsel. I just need to add a few more ornaments, and it will be finished.
Last weekend Matt and I went on a spontaneous vintage shopping trip in Sacramento. I found these vintage Ferragamos at Crimson and Clover. I have been looking for these for AGES, and I finally found them in my size...and for only $14!!!
I also grabbed this lovely 60s smock at Crimson and Clover. It will be perfect for painting, crafts, and working in the darkroom! Matt also got a really cool 70s puffy vest from their store and I grabbed some sweater clips.
Afterwards we stopped by a great speakeasy style restaurant in downtown Sacramento for lunch and drinks and then continued with our shopping. We went record shopping and then to the Midway Antiques Mall. How amazing!! Seriously, Matt and I were in shock when we walked into this place, it was fantastic. 30,000 square feet of mid-century goodness. If you happen to be in Sacramento, California I highly recommend this store.
I hope everyone is having a great December! School is finally over for the semester, so expect more posts soon!

Happy December!
Hello everyone! Can you believe December is already here? I am so excited for the holiday season, I have already put up my lights and decorations. Next weekend I'll be getting my Christmas tree, and I can't wait to decorate it.
I have been looking for a vintage tree topper for a few weeks now. Yesterday Matt and I went to Willow Glen and lo and behold, in the tiniest antiques store, I found the most perfect tree topper. It is a beautiful pearly white with gold glitter detailing.
We then went across the street to Park Place Vintage and I found an amazing 60s green wool shift dress. San Jose may have its flaws but it is definitely NOT lacking in amazing vintage and antique stores. Park Place Vintage is a lovely shop in downtown Willow Glen, and I highly recommend it. The clothing was fairly priced and the staff was very helpful. They also host various vintage themed events! Thank you again to Dorian for all of your help!
Afterwards Matt went shopping alone (poo, poo) for my birthday/Hanukkah/Christmas gift. He wouldn't let me see my present, so instead let me open this little gift...
Aren't these the cutest?! My two favorite things: vintage deer and GLITTER!!! Also notice the lovely barf tan walls behind me. Yes, apparently my landlord bought the "sale" paints because every room is painted in the most awful colors ever. Not to mention the horrible job they did: brown paint on the white ceiling, on the white base boards, on the carpet. Fantastic. I'd re-paint, but I'm not sure how long I will be living here for.
In other news, this weekend Matt and I will be going to the San Jose Super Toy and Comic Book Show! I can't wait to meet Miss Yvonne from Pee Wee's Playhouse!!
I hope everyone is having a great December so far! We just posted a bunch of new bows on our Etsy Store, please check them out :) Let me know you are a blog reader, and I'll give you a discount!
